Paramount Global disclosed on Friday that it will pay $122.5 million to settle lawsuits from Viacom shareholders arising from the company's merger with CBS.In a securities filing, the company revealed that it has agreed to settle the class action litigation now pending in the Delaware Court of Chancery. Redstone announced in February that ViacomCBS — the product of the 2019 re-merger of CBS Corp. and Viacom — was changing its name to Paramout Global, kicking off a new rebranding that aligned the company with the cinematic past of its 110-year-old movie studio as well as streamer Paramount+.
