Bad
Bunny

Even if you know Bad Bunny is one of the hottest stories in music, you still might underestimate his clout. Late last year, he became the first act to reach No. 1 with an all-Spanish album in the Billboard 200’s 64-year history. Then in May, he became the first to do so twice. Among records set by “Un verano sin ti”: biggest weekly total through May (274,000 album project units); most weeks at No. 1 in the 2020s; most streamed album this year. Naturally, it’s up for album of the year at the 2023 Grammys as well. Pollstar also reported that the $31.47 million gross he scored for two dates at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium set an all-time record for a two-show concert gross by a solo headliner. Small wonder he’s the first non-English singing performer to win MTV’s Artist of the Year at its Video Music Awards.
